Our COVID-19 Response

Ho’okele is committed to the health and safety of our clients, caregivers and staff during these extraordinary times.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT and BEST PRACTICES

Ho’okele equips our caregiving team with a full range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks, gloves, face shields, thermometers, hand sanitizer and shoe coverings.  We are also continuing to train and encourage our caregivers to maintain social distancing and follow best sanitary practices. Our caregivers also check to make sure that each client is free of flu symptoms or a fever at the beginning of each care visit.

DAILY HEALTH CHECK SCREENINGS

Ho’okele is also requiring daily health screening checks for our caregivers and staff using a new mobile application called COVID Navigator.

Caregivers must log into the COVID Navigator App before the start of their first shift on each new work day and answer a thorough health and safety survey, as well as record their temperature. When a Ho’okele team member successfully completes the Covid Navigator screening process, they receive a Cleared for Work badge for the day.  Caregivers and staff who are not ‘Cleared for Work’ are not allowed to work with clients or enter the workplace until their status has been reviewed and cleared.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO HELP YOU STAY SAFE AT HOME

Additional care services may be available for clients who prefer to limit their travel outside of the home:

  • Assistance with video visits with MDs
  • Virtual care management services
  • Ordering and delivery of groceries and/or medications.

OUR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE
